Here are a few screen captures taken while editing my video on premiere pro. I have taken screen captures whilst editing to shoe how the shots match with the shots in my storyboard. Also shows how the miming shots had to match up with song.

This shot shows the piano scene, which was one of the opening shots on the initial storyboard. This shot matches up with piano intro at the beginning of the song. Different angles of this shot are also featured later on in the video.

This screen capture shows a close up of my face. This shot matches the shot in the storyboard of the artist in the car driving to the beach however originally the shot in the storyboard was a medium shot but as there was not a lot of space in the car to shoot a medium shot, it had to be a close up instead. I think that this is better as the sense of sadness and worry comes across more to the viewer.

This screen capture shows a long shot that I had to change from the storyboard slightly due to the location as the couple where originally sitting on a bench. This is edited in the video towards the end. As you can see from the two windows, I changed the colour of the clip when I edited it into the video. This is to show that when the girl is with her love, her life is bright and happy yet when he is not there the clips are dull and haven’t been edited.

This final screen capture shows the finalised video. This shot is one of the opening shots taken from my final storyboard. This is an establishing shot as it sets the scene of the video. It is also a panning shot as it pans across the horizon of the beach. When edited I had to slow this shot down by using a slow motion effect. I changed the percentage down to 80% so that the pace of the video matched with the theme and pace of the song.
Premiere Pro

When I first started to use premiere pro, I found it difficult to use has I had had no previous experience with the programme however once I had used it a couple of times with the help of my teachers I was able to quickly master the basics. I also learnt how to insert special effect onto certain clips and have been experimenting with fade effects and altering the colouring of some clips.
The picture above show the layout of premier pro. The two windows at the top of the layout show the footage that has been imported on the left and on the right show the clips that are being edited in the timeline. The song is place at the bottom of the timeline of clips.

The side toolbar on premiere pro shows all the uploaded footage and music that has been imported. This is useful as you can reuse footage just by dragging clips onto the timeline. There are also sound effects, video transitions and other video effects that can also be dragged on the timeline to makes clips more interesting.
